Seminars and exhibitions of innovative start-up products: “Standards and Quality - for the vision VIETNAM - NEW KITCHEN OF THE WORLD

On July 5 and 6, 2022, two consecutive events took place at the 7th Atelier - new creative space of Hanoi, and especially at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The events are organised by the Business Association of High Quality Vietnamese Products, Business Studies and Assistance Centre, QP Vietnam Consulting, under the guidance of the Ministry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

After focusing on the development of Vietnamese agriculture products in the domestic market, the Business Association of High Quality Vietnamese Products is fostering the innovations in the field, especially regarding technology. Since September 2016, the association has built up the Global Integration Standards, helping the Vietnamese food corporations to reach out to the global market. In May 2022, the association was the leader of 18 units that participated in THAIFEX - Anuga Asia 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand, impressing the traders and visitors with over 200 high-quality and special products. The Vietnamese stalls were honoured to welcome the visit of Mr. Tran Thanh Nam - the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Mr. Phan Chi Thanh, Vietnam ambassador to Thailand. 

Revenue from the food industry accounts for more than 20% of Thailand's GDP, and by 2021 the export value of processed foods alone has reached $33 billion. More than 10,000 Thai food processing companies stand out as reliable suppliers of safe processed food to billions of people worldwide. According to the US Department of Agriculture, "Thailand is one of the world's leading suppliers of agricultural products, mainly thanks to its developed food processing sector and globally recognised standards and quality control."

With the vision to enhance the food processing industry’s contribution to the national economic development, the association organised two events with the participation of over 40 corporations, where they shared about culinary standards. The events are highlighted with the sharings of Ms. Vu Kim Hanh - Chairwoman of Business Association of High Quality Vietnamese Products; Ms. Bui Thi Suong and Mr. Chiem Thanh Long - Vice Directors of the Vietnam Culinary Conservation, Research and Development Centre; chef Hoang Tung - founder and head chef of T.U.N.G Dining - a restaurant voted among the 100 best Asian restaurant by the The World's 50 Best 2021 and other expert speakers. Especially, the Vietnamese food experience is a milestone on the journey of exploring a new eating culture, treasuring what nature brings and bringing the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine to all five continents.

At the events, Minister and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Le Minh Hoan and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep emphasised the importance of agriculture products, encouraged the innovations in food production for the vision VIETNAM - NEW KITCHEN OF THE WORLD
